Accelerating High Impact
Assistive Technology for Independent Living

AccelerateAbility is a disability innovations pre-accelerator lab for enabling early-stage startups to design contextual, usable, and affordable interventions for people with disabilities. 


We are offering early to mid-stage innovators the opportunity to receive top-line insights from multisectoral experts from the domains of disability, technology, design, and policy.


What We Offer

One on One Mentorship

Hands-on mentorship on business strategy and perfecting value propositions from experienced entrepreneurs and multi-sectoral experts. 

Access to Impact Investors 

The program will provide participants an opportunity to get acquainted with a community of impact investors for future conversations around funding/business mentoring linkages. 

Pitch Platform

You will develop and present refined pitches to a jury of impact investors and technical experts, to be part of the longer acceleration programme run by The Disability Innovations Coalition


You will access top-line learnings on the unique challenges of designing for disability and understand daily living barriers and user-experiences of people with disabilities. 

Program Incentives

Post lab incubation and piloting opportunities, prototyping support, access to cloud credits, visibility to your product solutions, future funding opportunities, brand affiliations, and ecosystem-wide promotion to winning participants.

User-Centered Approach

You will work on the user-centered approach for the solutions, understanding the community dynamics, existing challenges, and opportunities that can be absorbed

within the disabled people most effectively.

Thought Leadership

Thought leaders will share a strategic framework to address this challenge, and identify solution pathways, capitalising on how to take essential services and solutions to people with disabilities, who may be facing heightened issues of mobility and access as a result of Covid-19. 

Inviting Innovators to build solutions on the following critical challenges:
Smartphone-based & digital artefacts that can enhance independent living and help achieve human potential
ICT or smartphone-based SBCC tools built to offer systemic change in knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions on disability
ICT or smartphone-based solutions for the built environment that can enable barrier-free movement
